Situated 20 minutes from the edge of the Mt. Baker National Forest, Wander is a memorable, restored, original 1969 A-frame cabin tucked away on a 1/3 acre of land packed with old-growth trees. On public land that leads to the wild Columbia Basin, the property backs up. For couples, Wander is a comfortable getaway with a queen bed tucked into the upper story. Two snug twin beds and a comfy full-size sofa bed are available for families. With an expansive deck for tents, Wander sleeps 4 comfortably.

The cabin is situated in a rural community, located on 1/3 acre on a quiet lane, set back from the quiet road by a short winding driveway. The back of the estate is backed up by open wilderness.

Wander is 20-30 minutes to the edge of the Mt. Baker Forest and 45-60 minutes to the Mt. Baker Ski Resort. Wander is minutes to hiking, the Bay to Baker Trail, flyfishing, rafting, and of course world-class snowboarding and skiing. The cabin is 20 minutes from the Sumas border crossing at Candian, and 30 minutes from laid-back Bellingham.

2- Cozy River Cabin at Mt. Rainier

Nestled between the Cowlitz River and Coal Creek, this original 1960’s A-frame cabin is surrounded by clear river and mountain views throughout the stunning National Forest. Only by witnessing it will the sensation of being here be understood!

The kitchen is stocked with appliances, pots , pans, utensils, a coffee maker, a kettle and more, if you want to cook. Packwood offers charming eateries just minutes away if you don’t want to cook.
The key source of heat is a wood burning fireplace, preserving an authentic cabin atmosphere.

Snuggle up with a DVD player and Netflix on the huge sofa for a movie night on the flatscreen, or unplug and catch up on some reading in our cozy armchairs, listen to some music and play a board game.

All is set up before you are ready to call it a night for an enjoyable evening. You can doze off right on the sleeper sofa, or climb into the loft for peaceful slumber on our queen or full beds, fitted with 400 thread count sheets so you’ll be rested up for the next days’ outdoor adventures.

3- Intimate, Quaint and Cozy Cabin

This adorable, modest, Studio A-Frame cabin is nestled in the pines of a quiet country neighborhood and offers all the basics you need to enjoy our beautiful town.

The cabin features a dining, living, and kitchen area with an open plan where you can prepare your favorite meals, play a board game or curl up on the couch and watch a great movie. You’ll find a gas BBQ ready for you on the front deck and there is a table and chairs outside for al fresco dining. Adventurous travelers should head up the ladder when the sun sets and you are ready to call it a night and climb into the luxurious queen bed that is waiting for you in the loft.

For those not wanting to sleep in the attic, there is also a cozy sleeper couch. The cabin is suitable for two guests, but for those travellers who don’t mind being cozy with friends or family, we allow a maximum of four guests.

If a day of adventure is on the itinerary, at any time of year, you won’t have to stray far to find a range of outdoor activities. The tiny and lovely town of Plain is about 5 minutes away and includes a small country grocery store, a Barista hardware store, and The Old Mill Cafe that serves some delicious breakfast and hearty BBQ fare. For that romantic, adventurous getaway or as a base camp to explore our local area, this compact cabin is ideal.

4- Hebe’s Hideout Wooded Paradise near Mount Rainier

A quaint A-frame that has recently been renovated. The cabin is situated next to Mount Rainier and the Nisqually River is a one-minute walk away. After a walk in the national park, watch a movie & relax, enjoy sitting next to the wood stove. Wifi Offered.

Rustic and contemporary in one. The cabin was constructed in 1965, but it is modern, trendy and comfortable inside. Newly remodeled spring 2016. It’s fantastic.
