2- The Canopy Treehouse, a Luxury Carbon Free Retreat
Enjoy a little home in the trees! While just 350 square feet away, this home has everything you need for a lovely stay. Cook dinner in a full kitchen with a fridge, stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. You’ve got dinnerware, silverware, glasses of water and wine, cookware, and all the essential kitchen accessories. The loft and the connected sleeping pod are furnished with queen beds. Enjoy your deck with a barbecue and a view of the trout pond and your luxurious hot tub.
Waking up in your treehouse, the first thing you’re feeling is peace. No cars, no sirens, no overhead aircraft. Just bird song — the call of a loon, the pipe of a chickadee. You see only leaves, like green glass, streaming early morning light through the curtains. Below you, on the grass, a doe and her fawn are going down to the pond. They don’t rush, because there’s nothing here to scare them.
In the afternoon, you sit by the wood-burning fireplace, engrossed in the book you’ve always read. Your companions play a board game at the table, but they mostly talk and laugh — about anything and nothing. You’re looking up and smiling from your book. For a moment, you’ve been thinking about your life back home and asking yourself, “Why do we own so many things? What would our lives be like if we were to live more like this, with less — but more beautiful — things?
3- Deer Wood Cabin – Nestled in Nature
Deer Wood Cabin is a cozy cabin in the woods of Maine that provides a relaxing way to enjoy nature.
Deer Wood Cabin is nestled just under three acres in the hills. Almost regular deer encounters make this a perfect way to communicate with nature.
The spacious living room has two sofas, a walk-in closet and a Roku TV with internet access. There’s even a DVD player and a range of movies for your enjoyment. The wood stove will warm you up after a day of exploring the North Woods of Maine.
Looking out the windows, it’s normal to see deer crossing the property. If you’re lucky, you could even see a moose roaming around.
A spiral staircase leads up to the walkway between the two bedrooms and two loft spaces. The bedrooms each have a queen and twin beds, and each loft has a complete and twin bed for a total of 8 beds.
Just outside the back door is a grill with an outdoor dining area. Listen to me closely and you can hear the loons calling from the water. The outdoor fire pit is a perfect place to spend your family time. The most popular sounds you hear around the fire pit are laughter when the kids are roasting marshmallows.
4- lakefront cabin with full kitchen and a fireplace
This cozy cabin is tucked away on the edge of Moosehead Lake, just a few steps away from the beach. Watch the children and the dogs (for a small nightly fee) play in the backyard or on the dock while you enjoy the afternoon lemonade on the deck. Later, watch the sunset over the lake before making a fire in the backyard fireplace or in the hearth of the living room.
It’s just about 75 feet to your rocky stretch of lakeshore-it ‘s a little hard to swim from the shore because it has a natural rocky bank, but you can leap off the dock when you’re ready for a dip. You may not want to leave this lakeside oasis, but if you decide to go to the city, Greenville is less than three miles from town. You’ll find anything you like, including food and gas, as well as a few local food shops.
5- Lakefront cabin with epic views of lake & Mt Kineo
Wash your worries away at this cozy cabin on Moosehead Lake, offering an unbeatable place on the lake, views of the water and Mt. Kineo from your back deck, and a private swimming, fishing and boating dock! You can also bring a family dog with you for a small nightly fee.
Located just steps from the water on the lake ‘s central west shore, this cabin provides a peaceful location away from the city ‘s noise and distractions. For campfires, lawn games, and barbecues, the big, grassy yard is perfect, and the pebble beach is great for swimming and wading.
