Description: Deer Wood Cabin is a cozy cabin in the Maine woods that offers a comfortable way to enjoy nature. The space Deer Wood Cabin is nestled in the woods on just under three acres. The almost daily visits by deer make this a great way to connect with nature. The comfortable living room has two couches, a recliner and a Roku TV connected to the internet. The DVD player and selection of movies are also there for your enjoyment. The wood stove will warm you up after a day of exploring Maine’s North Woods. Looking out the windows it is common to see deer crossing through the property. If you’re lucky, you may even see a moose wandering by. The kitchen has place settings for 8, as well as plenty of pots, pans, glassware, kitchen utensils and silverware. There is also a large refrigerator, gas range, oven, toaster, coffeemaker and microwave for your convenience. A spiral staircase leads upstairs to the walkway between the two bedrooms and two loft spaces. The bedrooms each have a queen bed and each loft space has a full and twin bed making for a total of 6 beds. The main bathroom has a shower with an on demand water heater, toilet and sink. There is a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. This laundry room also has a toilet and small sink. Just out the back door is the barbecue with the outdoor dining area. Listen carefully and you can hear the loons calling from the lake. The outdoor fire pit is a great way to enjoy family time. The most common sounds you will hear around the fire pit is laughter while the kids are roasting marshmallows. A short drive (or walk) down the road is the community members only beach available for your use. Moosehead Lake’s clear water is a great way to cool off during the summer months. The swimming area usually has a raft for the kids (and playful adults) to jump off of. The house also has a mooring ball for your boat. Please contact us if you would like to use the mooring for the rules regarding the community dock. Deer Wood Cabin is a great Snowmobile or ATV destination. There is plenty of parking for your trailers and the trail is just down the road. Easy access to ITS 85/85 or the lake during the winter. Show more
